BKPM promotes officials<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): State Minister of Investment Sanyoto, also
\nChairman of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), installed
\nfive senior officials in a ceremony here yesterday.<\/p>\n
He installed Sunaryo as Assistant on Fund Resources
\nDevelopment to the State Minister of Investment, Wardijasa as the
\nminister's Assistant on Fund Utilization, Maj. Gen. R. Iskandar
\nas Deputy BKPM Chairman for Training and Supervision, Adeng
\nZakaria as chief of the board's Bureau of Appraisal of New
\nApplication for Non-industrial Sector Investments and Giek
\nSugianto as chief of its Bureau for Non-industrial Sector
\nInvestment Planning.<\/p>\n
At the occasion yesterday, Sanyoto demanded the new first-
\nechelon officials to intensify investment supervision.<\/p>\n
He told reporters later that the government should impose
\ntougher sanctions on several administrative violations committed
\nby investors.<\/p>\n
Indonesia is expecting a total investment of about Rp 177
\ntrillion (US$80.45 billion) over the next five years, most of
\nwhich is expected to come from the private sector. (hdj)<\/p>",
