"summary": "Indonesia's investment realisation for 2025 reached Rp1,931.2 trillion, surpassing the government's target and marking a 12.7 percent increase from the previous year. The surge was significantly driven by downstream processing, which contributed 30.2 percent of the total and grew by 43.3 percent. This investment performance supported the absorption of 2.71 million workers across the country.",
"content": "<p>Minister of Investment and Downstreaming\/Head of the Investment\nCoordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani announced that national\ninvestment realisation throughout 2025 reached Rp1,931.2 trillion. This\nfigure exceeded the set target of Rp1,905.6 trillion and increased by\n12.7 percent compared to the previous year. The achievement also\nresulted in the absorption of 2.71 million workers in Indonesia, growing\n10.4 percent year-on-year (yoy). \u201cWe achieved all of this while\nmaintaining accountable and transparent management of state finances and\nassets,\u201d Rosan stated during a working meeting with Commission XII of\nthe Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in Jakarta on\nWednesday, 15 July 2027. Rosan explained that investment in 2025 was\ndominated by Domestic Direct Investment (PMDN), which contributed 53.4\npercent or Rp1,030.3 trillion. Meanwhile, Foreign Direct Investment\n(PMA) reached 46.6 percent or Rp900.9 trillion. Regionally, investment\noutside Java Island reached Rp991.2 trillion, accounting for 51.3\npercent of total realisation, higher than investment in Java which stood\nat Rp940 trillion. The five largest sub-sectors by investment value\nduring 2025 included the base metal industry, metal goods, non-machinery\nand equipment at Rp262 trillion; transportation, warehousing, and\ntelecommunications at Rp211 trillion; mining at Rp199.6 trillion; other\nservices at Rp170.5 trillion; and housing, industrial estates, and\noffices at Rp140.4 trillion. \u201cIn line with our mandate, downstreaming is\none of the main drivers. Downstreaming investment realisation in 2025\nreached Rp584.1 trillion, growing 43.3 percent and contributing 30.2\npercent to the total national investment realisation. 71.1 percent of\nthis is located outside Java. This is a tangible effort to create\ndomestic added value while promoting equitable development,\u201d Rosan said.\nIn the mineral downstreaming sector, investment value was recorded at\nRp373.1 trillion, derived from nickel commodities at Rp185.2 trillion,\ncopper at Rp65.8 trillion, bauxite at Rp53.1 trillion, iron and steel at\nRp39.2 trillion, tin at Rp11.3 trillion, and other commodities such as\nsilica sand, gold, silver, cobalt, manganese, coal, and Buton asphalt at\nRp18.5 trillion.
