        "content": "<p>Efforts to improve the quality of life for the elderly are being\nstrengthened in Bali Province. The Head of the BKKBN Bali\nRepresentative, Ni Luh Gede Sukardiasih, officially launched the Werdha\nWinangun Urip II Elderly School in Dalung Village, North Kuta District,\non Wednesday (3\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>This programme is designed as a lifelong education platform for the\nelderly to ensure they remain healthy, independent, empowered, and\nhappy. Held at the Dalung Village Office Meeting Room, the launch marks\nthe beginning of an intensive learning series for dozens of senior\nresidents in the area.<\/p>\n<p>In her speech, Ni Luh Gede Sukardiasih emphasised the importance of\ntransforming mindsets when facing old age. According to her, being\nelderly is not a reason for sadness, but rather a blessing to be\ncelebrated with gratitude.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe elderly must be happy, independent, and empowered. Do not be sad\nto be elderly, but rather be happy and proud because you have passed\nthrough various life phases, from childhood and adolescence to\nadulthood. Being elderly is a blessing to be grateful for,\u201d stated Ni\nLuh Gede Sukardiasih.<\/p>\n<p>Echoing this sentiment, the Head of Dalung Village, I Gede Putu Arif\nWiratya, expressed deep appreciation for the support from\nKemendukbangga\/BKKBN in organising this programme. He hopes that the\nElderly School will be able to produce seniors who continue to provide\nreal benefits to their families and the surrounding community.<\/p>\n<p>Participants of the Elderly School will undergo a learning process\nconsisting of 12 sessions. The curriculum focuses not only on physical\nhealth but also covers a comprehensive aspect known as the \u201cSeven\nDimensions of Resilient Elderly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Through this curriculum, participants are encouraged to strengthen\ntheir spiritual faith, maintain physical fitness, manage emotions\npositively, and enhance intellectual abilities. Additionally, social\ncommunity aspects, productive vocational skills, and the creation of a\nsafe environment are also primary focuses of the learning process.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Dalung Village, on the same day, BKKBN Bali Province\nalso inaugurated two similar schools in Gianyar Regency, specifically in\nKetewel Village and Tampaksiring Village. This simultaneous step is part\nof the government\u2019s strategy in facing the phenomenon of an ageing\npopulation structure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe simultaneous inauguration of these three Elderly Schools\ndemonstrates a shared commitment to expanding access to lifelong\neducation for the elderly and realising a healthy, independent, active,\nproductive, and dignified elderly population in Bali,\u201d concluded Ni Luh\nGede Sukardiasih.<\/p>",
