        "content": "<p>JAKARTA \u2014 PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero), or BKI, is\nexploring a strategic partnership with PT PLN Indonesia Power (PLN-IP)\nin the field of sustainable energy.<\/p>\n<p>The cooperation encompasses services such as certification,\ninspection, non-destructive testing, laboratory services,\ndecarbonisation, surveys, and engineering.<\/p>\n<p>This partnership represents an initial step for both companies to\nbuild technical and strategic collaboration aimed at supporting reliable\nand sustainable power plant operations.<\/p>\n<p>The memorandum of understanding also serves as a foundation for\nidentifying benefits, opportunities, and risks from the planned\ncooperation, prior to developing more targeted follow-up steps.<\/p>\n<p>BKI\u2019s President Director, R. Benny Susanto, stated that the company\nis ready to act as a strategic partner in this collaboration,\nparticularly through its technical competencies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are prepared to dedicate our competency capacity, independence,\nand technical expertise to ensure that every operation, maintenance, and\nfacility managed by PT PLN Indonesia Power meets the highest standards\nof safety, quality, and regulatory compliance,\u201d Benny said in a press\nrelease on Wednesday (29\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, PLN Indonesia Power\u2019s President Director, Bernadus\nSudarmanta, assessed that BKI now not only plays a role in the shipping\nsector but also possesses relevant capabilities to support the company\u2019s\noperational needs and business transformation.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that PLN Indonesia Power currently manages over 400 power\ngeneration units that supply approximately 25% of the national\nelectricity needs.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the company is continuously developing new\nrenewable energy projects that require reliable technical support\nservices.<\/p>\n<p>One of the scopes explored in this cooperation is decarbonisation,\nwhich forms part of efforts to support a more environmentally friendly\npower generation system.<\/p>\n<p>Within that scope, BKI will support PLN Indonesia Power through the\nprovision of engineering solutions and technical feasibility\nstudies.<\/p>\n<p>This support is directed towards promoting the development of power\ngeneration systems aligned with Net Zero Emission targets and\nstrengthening the sustainability of Indonesia\u2019s energy sector.<\/p>",
