        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - BINUS University is strengthening its strategic\nrole in promoting global collaboration through a series of international\nconferences throughout 2026 that connect academics, industry, and\npolicymakers in the Southeast Asia and East Asia region, particularly\nKorea.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the end of the year, BINUS is also preparing an international\nconference on tourism and the economy together with the Indonesian\nGovernment, focusing on Indonesia-Korea relations,\u201d said the Vice Rector\nfor Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University, Prof.\u00a0Juneman\nAbraham, in his statement in Jakarta on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, this international conference on tourism and the\neconomy will expand the scope of discussions from academic issues to\npotential economic, industrial cooperation, and development of strategic\nsectors relevant to Indonesia and Korea.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that BINUS is holding international conferences throughout\n2026, starting with the ICOBAR (International Conference of Biospheric\nHarmony and Advanced Research) 2026 in February, organised jointly with\nthe Korean Institute of Information Technology (KIIT).<\/p>\n<p>This conference features hundreds of global research contributions\ndiscussing issues of technology, governance, business, and\nsustainability, as an effort to promote innovation relevant to industry\nand societal needs.<\/p>\n<p>That momentum, said Juneman, continued on Thursday (26\/3), with\ncollaboration with the Endgame podcast hosted by former Gita Wirjawan,\nto host a visit from Prof.\u00a0Gi-Wook Shin, the William J. Perry Professor\nof Contemporary Korea and professor of sociology at Stanford\nUniversity.<\/p>\n<p>In this agenda, BINUS held a public discussion on brain circulation\nand the future of Indonesian talent, while also introducing Prof.\u00a0Shin\u2019s\nlatest book titled \u201cThe Four Talent Giants\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Juneman revealed that the collaboration between BINUS and Endgame,\nwhich also involves Stanford University, is a strategic effort by BINUS\nUniversity to address the turbulent challenges of intellectual mobility\namong the youth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe phenomenon like \u2018Kabur Aja Dulu\u2019 cannot be seen merely as a\ntrend, but also as a reflection of the need for a more supportive\necosystem,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that what needs to be encouraged is not merely the movement\nof talent, but an empowering brain circulation, so that Indonesian\ntalent continues to have a role and contribution to strengthening the\nnational ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration between BINUS and the Endgame podcast aims to\nsupport the dissemination of academic ideas to a wider public space.\nThis collaboration includes media support, strengthening public\ncommunication, and talent development.<\/p>\n<p>Following this public discussion agenda, BINUS will continue the\nseries through the WE ARE Student Conference (International) in the\nthird quarter.
