The sudden development left several students who had already arrived\nat the location puzzled as entry to the campus was barred.<\/p>\n
Because information about the fire and class rescheduling spread in\nstudent communication groups while some were already on their way to the\ncampus.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom Depok, I left at 06:15 WIB this morning. There was no info that\nthe campus had burned. I was driving, so I didn\u2019t check my phone,\u201d Jason\nsaid when approached by Kompas.com in front of the campus area on\nFriday.<\/p>\n
When he reached the location, he was confused because access to the\ncampus had been completely closed by security due to firefighting\noperations.<\/p>\n
\u201cI arrived here around 07:00 WIB and the gates were closed; they told\nme I couldn\u2019t enter due to a fire. I\u2019m confused, I\u2019ve just arrived,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe campus authorities immediately directed that students should not\ncome to the location and that learning should be switched to the Zoom\napplication.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cClasses were supposed to be at 07:20 WIB, but were moved to Zoom,\nonline-only until 09:00 WIB. It was announced that there was a fire at\nthe campus, and they immediately recommended using Zoom meeting online,\u201d\nhe explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe also confirmed that according to the information spread, the fire\nlocation was the auditorium on the 5th floor.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cInitially, I actually had a training schedule today; there wasn\u2019t a\nclass. But when I arrived here, it was already crowded, \u2018there\u2019s a\nfire\u2019,\u2019 Morio said.<\/p>\n
