The Jakarta Provincial Government has removed billboards for the film
‘Aku Harus Mati’ that were displayed on several roads in Jakarta.
Governor Pramono Anung said the removal was carried out after receiving
complaints from the public.

“The billboard has been taken down. But the principle is, this must
not happen again,” Pramono said at Pasar Gardu Asem, Central Jakarta, on
Monday (6/4/2026).

According to Pramono, the installation of sensitive advertisements
without considering their impact on the public is an action that must be
evaluated. He emphasised that the Provincial Government will prevent the
installation of similar billboards in the future.

“Things like this are only to attract the public and then put up
sensitive ads, and this impacts society. So this must not happen again,”
he stated.

Previously, social media was abuzz regarding the billboard or
promotional billboard for the film with the text ‘Aku Harus Mati’, which
was deemed to make the public uncomfortable. The Jakarta Provincial
Government responded to residents’ concerns by removing the advertising
boards scattered at several points.

In a viral post seen by detikcom on Sunday (5/4), the advertising
board read ‘Aku Harus Mati’ with a background of a blue creature with
red eyes. The content drew complaints from residents.

Head of Civil Service Police Unit of DKI Jakarta Satriadi Gunawan
said his side had coordinated with the advertising bureau displaying the
ad. As a result, the film billboard was taken down.

“Yes, yes. So we have coordinated with the advertising bureau to
immediately remove it. Correct, correct (the ones removing the billboard
are from the bureau’s side),” Satriadi said when contacted on Sunday
(5/4).
",
