Severe weather, including heavy rain and strong winds, has caused disruptions on Jakarta's toll roads, such as a billboard collapse near a Transjakarta bus, fallen trees on the Jagorawi and JORR tolls, and the collapse of the Halim toll gate frame. Jasa Marga, through its JMT division, has swiftly mobilised teams to secure affected areas, evacuate materials, and manage traffic to ensure user safety. Additionally, flooding at a rest area in West Java prompted the deployment of water pumps, highlighting the company's proactive measures amid extreme weather impacts on critical infrastructure.

JAKARTA – Bad weather that has hit Jakarta and its surroundings in
recent days has triggered various disruptions on toll road sections.

Facing these conditions, Jasa Marga, through Jasamarga Metropolitan
Tollroad (JMT) Regional Division, has moved quickly to secure several
affected points.

Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds that occurred on Sunday (12/4)
afternoon became the main trigger. The impacts were quite serious,
ranging from fallen trees to damage to facilities on the toll roads.

One of the most striking incidents was the collapse of a billboard on
the Cawang Toll Road that nearly hit a passing Transjakarta bus.
Fortunately, there were no casualties in the incident, and the bus was
able to continue its journey.

In addition, disruptions also occurred on several sections of the
Jagorawi Toll Road. Fallen trees were reported at KM 8 and KM 10 towards
Bogor, as well as KM 30 towards Jakarta. Similar conditions were also
found on the JORR Toll Road, precisely at KM 35 towards Jakarta.

Even the Halim Toll Gate frame collapsed due to the impact of strong
winds. All these points were immediately handled by officers to ensure
traffic remains safe and smooth.

Supervision has also been tightened at vulnerable points to
anticipate further impacts from extreme weather.

The impact of bad weather did not only occur in Jakarta, but also
spread to the West Java region. Continuous high rainfall caused flooding
at the Rest Area KM 149.

To address the situation, officers have deployed two water pump units
with outlet sizes of 5 inches each to accelerate the water pumping
process.

This handling is carried out so that the rest area facilities can
quickly return to normal and be safe for toll road users.

“At this time, the Representative Office 1, 2, and 3 officers,
together with Jasamarga Tollroad Operator (JMTO) and Jasamarga Related
Business (JMRB), are in the field to carry out material evacuation,
handling of affected facilities, and traffic management to ensure the
safety and comfort of road users,” said Alvin, in an official statement
(13/4/2026).

“Road users are urged to remain cautious, pay attention to traffic
signs and directions from officers in the field, and manage travel time
and routes,” he said.
",
