BII rating reset to CCC<\/p>\n
HONG KONG (Dow Jones): Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Co. Tuesday
\nsaid it removed Bank Internasional Indonesia's (BII) foreign and
\nlocal currency long-term ratings outlook from Rating Watch -
\nDown.<\/p>\n
At the same time, Duff & Phelps reset the bank's rating on
\nlong-term foreign currency debt to CCC from B-, and reaffirmed
\nthe bank's rating for long-term local currency debt at B-.<\/p>\n
Duff & Phelps also reaffirmed its B- rating on Bank
\nInternasional's credit-card voucher-backed notes, and removed
\nthem from Rating Watch-Down.<\/p>\n
The move reflects improvements in the economy and the
\npolitical outlook for Indonesia, Duff & Phelps said in a press
\nrelease.<\/p>\n
Still, the ratings agency said it expects the new government
\nto face tough challenges in implementing economic reforms and
\nmaintaining political stability.<\/p>\n
As a result of government-ordered reforms and mergers, Bank
\nInternasional now is the largest private-sector bank in the
\ncountry, Duff & Phelps noted.<\/p>",
