        "content": "<p>Big bikes join traffic patrol<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The city police introduced 25 new Harley Davidson<br>\nmotorcycles to their traffic corps on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Police chief Insp. Firman Gani said that the \"hogs\" had been<br>\ndonated by the city administration.<\/p>\n<p>In an attempt to convince the public that the Harleys were<br>\njust what Jakarta needed, a simulation was held at Jakarta Police<br>\nHeadquarters, where the officers demonstrated various tricks that<br>\nmight prove useful in policing, such as standing on top of the<br>\nmotorcycles while driving them.<\/p>\n<p>Imbued with the spirit of serving the public, Firman said that<br>\non Saturdays and Sundays the officers riding the Harleys would<br>\nprovide the public with \"shows\" lasting between two and three<br>\nhours, which would be conducted in \"less crowded areas\".<\/p>\n<p>\"We have established a traffic management center, which will<br>\nalso provide escorts using the Harleys,\" Firman said. -- JP<\/p>",
