BI net foreign reserves up to $14.43b<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Bank Indonesia said on Monday that its net
\ninternational reserves (NIR) rose by US$146.3 million to $14.43
\nbillion as of Dec. 23 from the Dec. 15 level.<\/p>\n
The central bank said in its weekly indicator report that the
\nslight increase was due to government revenue from oil and gas
\nexports and the disbursement of offshore loans.<\/p>\n
The NIR level is above the IMF target of $10.86 billion, it
\nadded.<\/p>\n
BI reported that gross foreign exchange reserves, which
\ninclude net foreign exchange reserves plus outstanding foreign
\nexchange contracts, during the week also increased by $1.11
\nbillion to $23.96 billion.<\/p>\n
Net domestic assets increased by Rp 171 billion to minus Rp
\n71.73 trillion, below the IMF adjusted target of minus Rp 34.28
\ntrillion, BI said.<\/p>\n
The central bank said net claims to the Indonesian Bank
\nRestructuring Agency amounted to Rp 137.57 trillion.<\/p>\n
BI also said that the volume of its liquidity credit expanded
\nby Rp 850 billion, which was particularly funneled to the State
\nLogistics Agency (Bulog), small farmers and cooperatives. (rei)<\/p>\n
