        "content": "<p>Bank Indonesia (BI) reported that the weighted average yield on\n12-month Bank Indonesia Rupiah Securities (SRBI) won at the primary\nmarket auction on Friday declined to 7 percent.<\/p>\n<p>In the previous auction on 14 August 2026, the weighted average yield\non the 12-month tenor won was recorded at 7.37 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Erwin Gunawan Hutapea of BI\u2019s Monetary and Securities Asset\nManagement Department said in a statement in Jakarta on Friday that the\ndecline was in line with the average yield offered by auction\nparticipants.<\/p>\n<p>The weighted average yield on 12-month SRBI bids fell from 7.45\npercent on 14 August 2026 to 7.08 percent on 28 August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The central bank absorbed a total of Rp24 trillion in SRBI at\nFriday\u2019s auction from Rp43.5 trillion in incoming bids. This figure was\nhigher than the auction on 14 August 2026, when the nominal amount won\nreached Rp20 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis development is in line with money market and banking liquidity\nconditions that Bank Indonesia continues to maintain through measured\nmanagement of monetary instruments,\u201d Erwin said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that going forward, Bank Indonesia will continue to optimise\nmonetary instruments, including SRBI, to maintain adequate liquidity,\nsupport money market and rupiah stability, and continue to attract\nforeign portfolio inflows.<\/p>\n<p>Based on Bank Indonesia publications, the weighted average yield on\nlong-tenor SRBI in the secondary market is also on a downward trend.<\/p>\n<p>The weighted average yield on the 12-month tenor declined from 7.45\npercent on 18 August 2026 to 7.00 percent on 20 August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>This downward trend also occurred in short tenors in the secondary\nmarket. Based on the latest data as of 21 August 2026, the weighted\naverage yield on the 6-month tenor eased to 6.70 percent and the 3-month\ntenor fell to 6.72 percent.<\/p>",
