        "content": "<p>Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor candidate Destry Damayanti has expressed\nher commitment to supporting the government in achieving Indonesia\u2019s\neconomic growth target of 8%.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe support the government. That is indeed the government\u2019s plan,\u201d\nsaid Destry after the fit and proper test at Commission XI of the DPR,\nJakarta, Wednesday (26\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Destry said that, in accordance with the mandate of the Financial\nSector Development and Strengthening Law (UU P2SK), BI has been directed\nto support the creation of a conducive economic climate.<\/p>\n<p>The creation of a conducive economic climate, as mandated by the P2SK\nLaw, said Destry, of course requires the central bank to participate\ntogether with the government in maintaining an economic climate that can\ndrive real sector growth and job creation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo our task is how we try to keep the economic climate conducive,\nmeaning stability is maintained, then growth so that demand is strong\nand so on.
