        "content": "<p>The synergy between Bank Indonesia (BI) East Java, the East Java\nProvincial Government, and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) East\nJava is being strengthened to encourage quality investment as part of\nefforts to maintain sustainable regional economic growth. This\ncollaboration was realised through a High-Level Meeting of the\nInvestment Forum, the Regional Economic Growth Acceleration Team\n(TP2ED), and the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD),\nheld at the Grahadi State Building in Surabaya. The forum served as a\nstrategic coordination platform between authorities to enhance\ninvestment, accelerate regional economic transformation, and promote\npublic welfare.<\/p>\n<p>Head of BI East Java, Ibrahim, stated that well-maintained\nmacroeconomic stability is the main asset in boosting investor\nconfidence. \u2018East Java has a strong appeal as an investment destination\nthanks to its strategic location, improving infrastructure support, and\na resilient economic structure,\u2019 he said. He added that investors are\nnot looking for perfect regions, but rather responsive, collaborative\nareas with strong commitment, all of which East Java possesses. The\nchallenge ahead is to bring in higher-quality investment that can create\nadded value, open employment opportunities, strengthen downstream\nindustries, and drive sustainable economic growth. East Java\u2019s economic\ngrowth in the first quarter of 2026 was recorded at 5.96% year-on-year,\nwith inflation remaining under control amid rising global economic\nuncertainty.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the East Java Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services\nOffice (DPMPTSP), Dyah Wahyu Ermawati, stated that integrating the\nInvestment Forum, TP2ED, and TPAKD is a strategic step to strengthen\ncross-sector coordination. These efforts are directed at preparing\nInvestment Project Ready to Offer (IPRO) schemes, accelerating\nindustrial estate development, and enhancing East Java\u2019s investment\ncompetitiveness. Acting Head of OJK East Java, Horas V. M. Tarihoran,\nemphasised the importance of expanding financing access through the\nfinancial services sector to support investment, micro, small, and\nmedium enterprise (UMKM) development, and financial inclusion in the\nregion.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, Deputy for Social Statistics at BPS, M. Nashrul\nWajdi, conveyed that the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census will\nproduce a more comprehensive economic database as a basis for\nformulating investment, financing, and regional economic development\npolicies. East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa stressed that\nquality investment must align with strengthening food security,\nenhancing regional competitiveness, and improving public welfare. She\nencouraged the acceleration of the completion of Sustainable Food\nAgricultural Land (LP2B), Standard Paddy Fields (LBS), and Protected\nPaddy Fields (LSD), synchronisation of spatial planning, industrial\nestate development, strengthening of IPRO, and resolution of various\ninvestment barriers.
