        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Bank Indonesia (BI) Acting Governor Destry\nDamayanti stated that central bank research needs to be directed towards\nfour priority agendas to address the challenges of geoeconomic\nfragmentation, digital transformation, and rising systemic risks. \u201cBank\nIndonesia is committed to continuously strengthening a high-quality and\npolicy-relevant research ecosystem to support evidence-based\npolicymaking amidst the changing global economic and financial\nlandscape,\u201d Destry said in a statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday.\nOne of the priority agendas is strengthening the understanding of\nmonetary policy transmission amidst geoeconomic fragmentation. The\nsecond is deepening analysis of digital finance and the implications of\ndevelopments in digital payment systems, artificial intelligence (AI),\nfintech, crypto assets, and digital currencies for central bank policy.\nThe fourth is strengthening institutional credibility and policy\ncommunication as a foundation for maintaining public trust. On 31 July,\nBI held the 20th Bulletin of Monetary Economics and Banking (BMEB)\nInternational Conference and Call for Papers with the theme \u201cCentral\nBanking at the Crossroads of Geoeconomic Fragmentation, Digital\nTransformation, and Systemic Risks\u201d. The BMEB international conference\nwas attended by researchers, academics, policymakers, and international\ninstitutions.<\/p>",
