This follows a fraud case in East Lombok where scammers took money under false promises of SPPG construction. BGN urges the public to avoid such scams and report suspicious activity.

Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Sony Sonjaya, has
stated that the agency has never appointed intermediaries or brokers to
determine the location sites for Nutrition Service Unit (SPPG). Sony
explained that all SPPG application and verification processes are
conducted transparently in accordance with applicable regulations. ‘BGN
has never appointed intermediaries, brokers, or any party that can
guarantee an individual obtaining an SPPG location site by paying a sum
of money,’ Sony said in a press statement on Saturday, 30 May 2026. ‘All
legitimate SPPG application and verification processes have never been
charged any fees by the National Nutrition Agency,’ he stressed. He
reiterated that since the implementation of the MBG program, the public
has been advised not to trust certain parties, particularly those
claiming to expedite approval or guarantee SPPG operations in exchange
for money. Previously, a case of alleged fraud and embezzlement under
the guise of SPPG construction occurred in East Lombok Regency, West
Nusa Tenggara. The case began with public reports of fraud where
perpetrators promised the construction and operation of SPPG kitchens.
After victims handed over money, the perpetrators promised to provide
construction site locations until the kitchen was ready for use.
However, in reality, the construction promises never materialised and
the money paid by victims was not returned.
",
