The policy will take effect next week as part of\nefforts to strengthen food safety in the implementation of MBG in\nschools.<\/p>\n<p>BGN Chief Sudaryono, familiarly known as Mas Dar, explained that the\nconsumption time limit information will serve as a marker for teachers\nand students to ensure food is consumed in a safe condition.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Additionally, starting next week, we will enforce the requirement to\nwrite on every ompreng a sign or warning that it must be consumed before\na certain time. So, the role of teachers here is very important,\u2019 he\nsaid during an online coordination meeting on MBG governance and\nimplementation in schools with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary\nEducation, quoted Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>He requested that teachers ensure food is not consumed if it has\npassed the time limit stated on the container. The prohibition applies\nto both teachers and students.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018If the time indicated on the ompreng has passed, I request that it\nnot be consumed. Teachers must not consume it, and especially not the\nstudents, if the time limit has been exceeded,\u2019 he stressed.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, MBG meals have a safe consumption window because\nthey contain no preservatives and are prepared as fresh food. He\nexplained that generally, MBG meals must be consumed within a maximum of\nfour hours after cooking.
