        "content": "<p>\u201cIn the context of budget efficiency, what we are doing first is\nrefocusing beneficiaries; second, a moratorium on new kitchen sites; and\nthird, improving existing kitchens that are already operating so that\nthey meet standards for producing quality meals,\u201d she said at a press\nconference here on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>She emphasized that the moratorium will be implemented as soon as\npossible to ensure a more equitable distribution of the program and to\nsupport budget efficiency in line with President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s\ndirectives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe principle is equity, meaning it is not about which kitchen\nreceives beneficiaries, but ensuring that all children are covered.\nHowever, this does not require too many kitchens. Too many kitchens are\ninefficient because we are renting them,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, the restructuring of SPPG units is relatively easy\nto implement as BGN has coordinated with the Primary and Secondary\nEducation Ministry, the Ministry of Population and Family Development,\nand the Home Ministry to calculate the number of kitchens needed for\nbeneficiaries in each region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCurrently, many have registered and are in preparation stages. There\nare already more than 27,000 operational kitchens. We will first\nstreamline this. For example, if a sub-district only needs six kitchens,\nthen it will be six.
