        "content": "<p>Timika (ANTARA) - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has temporarily\nclosed 11 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) in the Mimika\nregion, Central Papua.<\/p>\n<p>The Regional Coordinator of BGN Central Papua, Nalen Situmorang,\nexplained that the closure was due to the Wastewater Treatment\nInstallation (IPAL) at the SPPG not meeting the operational standard\nprocedures (SPO) as well as the administrative requirements in the Free\nNutritious Meals (MBG) programme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need to emphasise to the public that this is not a permanent\nclosure, but temporary. Until the partners or foundations carry out\nimprovements, we will conduct checks. If they already meet the\nprocedures and requirements, the SPPG will be reopened,\u201d said Nalen.<\/p>\n<p>She explained that the number of SPPG in Mimika Regency is 18 units.\nHowever, with the temporary closure of 11 SPPG, only seven SPPG remain\nactive in providing MBG services.<\/p>\n<p>MBG services in the Mimika region are currently only carried out in\nfour districts, namely Kuala Kencana District, Wania District, East\nMimika District, and New Mimika District.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Regent of Mimika, Emanuel Kemong, stated that the Mimika\nMBG Task Force together with BGN will monitor the SPPG, both those still\nactive and those temporarily closed. This is done to directly observe\nthe entire process of providing and serving MBG presented to target\nschools.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe, together with BGN, will visit three SPPG locations tomorrow,\nboth those still active and those temporarily closed, as well as the\nbeneficiary schools, to see how the provision of MBG to children in\nschools is being carried out,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He also reminded all temporarily closed SPPG to immediately complete\nthe requirements and resume providing MBG services to children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis temporary closure impacts the halting of services, even though\nchildren really need it. Tomorrow we will look directly and summon the\nrelevant parties for evaluation,\u201d said Emanuel.<\/p>\n<p>Emanuel, who is also the Chair of the Mimika MBG Task Force,\nemphasised that they do not have the authority to intervene in technical\nmatters at the SPPG.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Task Force remains responsible for overseeing the\nimplementation of the programme to ensure it runs optimally.<\/p>",
