Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Sudaryono has stressed\nthat his agency is ready to follow up on every report regarding alleged\nirregularities in the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG)\nProgramme. He urged the public and the media not to hesitate to report\nif they find problematic MBG kitchens.<\/p>\n
Sudaryono made the statement after chairing his first meeting with\nBGN officials at the BGN Office in Central Jakarta on Wednesday\n(22\/7\/2026). He said the BGN is open to all input from the public as\npart of efforts to improve the governance of the MBG programme.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd of course, I, especially together with the entire team, am ready\nto listen to input, ready to hear every piece of information, input from\nanywhere, from anyone, including from media colleagues,\u201d Sudaryono\nsaid.<\/p>\n
He then asked the public to report immediately if they find suspected\nirregularities in MBG kitchens. According to him, every report will be\nfollowed up through an investigation process.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf, for example, a kitchen is not operating properly, report it\nimmediately! We will investigate straight away. We want to uphold the\nrules, we will enforce what is right,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, Sudaryono cautioned that mistakes made by a few parties\nshould not lead to a poor assessment of all MBG implementers.<\/p>\n
\u201cDo not let one or two mistakes then lead to the assumption that the\nothers are also wrong,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Sudaryono said that improving governance is the main focus of his\nleadership at the BGN. He therefore invited all stakeholders to\nparticipate in overseeing the implementation of the MBG programme.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to encourage my team not to get caught up in sadness, and we\nare ready to solve problems. And I am ready to listen, once again, to\ninput from all stakeholders, from our internal team, partners, to\nanyone, so that this governance can be implemented properly,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Sudaryono also asked the public to convey accurate information\nregarding the MBG. He hopes that any alleged violations that are\npublicised are based on facts, not misleading information.<\/p>\n
\u201cI understand that people can easily create sensationalism around the\nMBG theme. But I want the truth to be reported or posted. If there is a\nviolation, then that violation must indeed be true.
