        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN),\nDadan Hindayana, stated that the funds circulation resulting from the\nFree Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG) reaches Rp6 trillion per month in\nWest Java Province (Jabar).<\/p>\n<p>Dadan explained that the MBG programme is designed to create economic\ncirculation in the regions through a budget distribution scheme that\ndirectly enters Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn West Java, there are already 6,200 SPPG. This means around Rp6\ntrillion per month is circulating in the region solely from this\nprogramme,\u201d he said in an official statement in Jakarta on\nWednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Dadan noted that with a total budget of Rp268 trillion, the MBG\nprogramme is one of the largest fiscal interventions directly impacting\ncommunities at the local level.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe channel those funds directly to the regions through virtual\naccounts at each SPPG. Approximately Rp248-249 trillion flows downwards\nand is spent in the regions,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Dadan, this scheme positions SPPG as new centres of\neconomic activity in the regions, where each unit manages around Rp1\nbillion per month, with most of the funds used to purchase food raw\nmaterials from the surrounding community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis means the MBG programme is synonymous with local food\nself-sufficiency, as almost all needs are supplied from within the\nregion,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the large-scale funds flow is beginning to create a\nmultiplier effect on the local economy.
