Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2014 National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Deputy Chief Sony\nSonjaya said the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program holds strategic\nvalue in shaping the future direction of the Indonesian nation.<\/p>\n
\u201cAmong the flagship programs, this one (MBG) is at the very top,\nbecause at every event and every activity, President Prabowo Subianto\nalways talks about nutritious meals,\u201d he said in a statement in Jakarta\non Sunday.<\/p>\n
He explained that when the President speaks about MBG at various\nstate events, it is not merely out of pride in a program, but because\nthere is great value at stake concerning the nation\u2019s future. Therefore,\nhe said, MBG has strategic value that far exceeds a mere food\ndistribution program.<\/p>\n
He called on all program implementers to carry out their roles with\npride and responsibility. He stressed that every individual involved in\nthe program holds an important position that can have a broad impact on\nthe direction of Indonesia\u2019s future development.<\/p>\n
\u201cTherefore, we sit here with great pride. I stand here very proud\nbecause I am at a point of activity that can influence and has a very\nbroad spectrum in determining the future of the Indonesian nation. We\nshould be proud,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
At a consolidation meeting with Nutrition Service Units (SPPG) across\nLampung Province on Saturday (14\/2), Sony urged all parties to commit to\nmaking the MBG program a success so it can run optimally and\nsustainably.<\/p>\n
Lampung Province Community Empowerment and Transmigration Agency Head\nSaeful expressed appreciation to all parties involved in implementing\nthe MBG program in Lampung.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe greatest appreciation and gratitude to all parties in Lampung\nProvince, from BGN, regional governments, partners, foundations, and\nIndonesian Development Mobilization Graduates (SPPI) who are working\ndirectly on the ground to make the MBG program in Lampung a success,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
As of Tuesday (10\/2), approximately 1,007 SPPG units have been\nestablished in Lampung, reaching around 2.7 million beneficiaries.
