        "content": "<p>Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN)\nSudaryono met with Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa at the Ministry\nof Finance office on Friday (28\/8\/2026). The two discussed the budget\nfor the government\u2019s flagship programme, Free Nutritious Meals\n(MBG).<\/p>\n<p>The meeting, which lasted approximately one and a half hours from\n10.00 WIB at the Juanda Building in Jakarta, covered the operational\ndistribution of Free Nutritious Meals, alignment of financial systems,\nbudgeting, and the operations of MBG kitchens.<\/p>\n<p>Sudaryono disclosed that discussions covered the implementation of\nMBG, with 27,485 MBG kitchens or Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units\n(SPPG) currently in operation. Mas Dar, as the BGN Head is known, also\nrevealed that 463 kitchens have had their operations halted.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Mas Dar spoke with Purbaya regarding connectivity\nbetween the Ministry of Finance\u2019s systems and BGN, in order to minimise\nmanual recording systems related to MBG operational reports.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen connect the axis system at the Ministry of Finance with SIPGN\nat our end. So the essence is that what was previously manual should no\nlonger be manual, but rather how the team or people working in the\nfield, in the kitchens, can work with the system and be facilitated in\ntheir reporting,\u201d said Sudaryono to reporters at the Juanda Building in\nJakarta on Thursday (28\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the discussion turned to plans for implementing MBG next\nyear, particularly regarding the budget. Sudaryono confirmed that the\nMBG budget for 2027 amounts to Rp240 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, of course you all already know, the budget is around Rp240\ntrillion,\u201d said Sudaryono.<\/p>\n<p>He also assured that the MBG budget requirements for 2026 remain\nsufficient and that no additional budget allocation is needed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGod willing, there is no need for additional budget. The current\n2026 budget can, God willing, be maximised without any additional\nallocation,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n<p>Next, the discussion covered the activation of kitchens in\nunderdeveloped, frontier, and outermost regions, known as 3T, which are\nexpected to open in September or the following month.<\/p>\n<p>Sudaryono said that 2,700 kitchens are currently ready to operate in\nstages to serve the distribution of MBG in 3T regions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are 2,700 that are ready, and we will open them in stages,\nincluding opening kitchens in areas where many people are in need,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>",
