        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Head of the Legal and Public Relations Bureau\nof the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Khairul Hidayati, has stressed\nthe importance of labour protection for workers in the Nutrition\nFulfilment Service Units (SPPG) as part of strengthening the governance\nof the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG). Hida views the volunteers\nand SPPG workers as the frontline in implementing the programme, as they\nwork daily under high-risk conditions. \u201cAccording to BGN Head\u2019s Decision\nNo.\u00a0401.1 of 2025, every foundation is obliged to ensure BPJS\nKetenagakerjaan coverage for employees and volunteers,\u201d Hida stated in\nan official release in Jakarta on Wednesday. Hida added that the\noperational cost of Rp3,000, paid on a cost basis, can also be used to\nfund BPJS Ketenagakerjaan membership for volunteers. \u201cThe operational\ncost of Rp3,000 currently paid on a cost basis is one of the uses for\npaying BPJS Ketenagakerjaan membership for volunteers. Therefore, this\nis essentially their right. Thus, all volunteers\/employees in SPPG are\nentitled to work accident protection and health insurance,\u201d she\nexplained. According to her, this protection represents the state\u2019s\npresence in safeguarding the implementers of the MBG Programme in the\nfield. Through collaboration between BGN and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, SPPG\nworkers will receive various forms of protection, from work accident\ninsurance, death benefits, compensation, healthcare services, to\neducational scholarships for children. \u201cWhen workers feel safe and\nprotected, the quality of services will also improve, and ultimately,\nthe programme\u2019s sustainability will be better maintained,\u201d she said. She\nalso emphasised that accelerating the Hygiene and Sanitation Fitness\nCertificate (SLHS) and strengthening labour protection cannot be done\nalone but requires collaboration among various parties, from central\ngovernment, local government, health agencies, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan,\nBPOM, to foundations managing SPPG. \u201cThe success of the programme is\nultimately not only measured by the amount of food distributed, but by\nhow safely and qualitatively the programme is run,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>",
