        "content": "<p>Bengkulu (ANTARA) - The Bengkulu Provincial Government is\nstrengthening collaboration with the Ministry of National Development\nPlanning (Bappenas) to accelerate low-carbon development and climate\nresilience in the region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLow-carbon development is not merely an environmental agenda, but a\ngreen economic transformation strategy that creates employment and\nimproves community welfare,\u201d said Deputy Minister for Food, Natural\nResources and Environment at the Ministry of National Development\nPlanning Leonardo A. A. T. Sambodo in Bengkulu on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that low-carbon development is part of the national\nstrategy towards Net Zero Emissions 2060 or earlier. According to him,\nthe success of this agenda heavily depends on implementation at the\nregional level through policy integration in planning documents such as\nthe Long-Term Regional Development Plan (RPJPD), Medium-Term Regional\nDevelopment Plan (RPJMD) and regional budgets (APBD).<\/p>\n<p>Leonardo emphasised that regional governments play a crucial role in\nensuring low-carbon development principles are truly implemented so that\nbenefits are directly felt by communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want economic growth to increase, but development must not come\nat the expense of the environment. We must not let Golden Indonesia 2045\nbecome Anxious Indonesia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Sambodo stressed that synergy between central and regional government\nmust be strengthened so that policies are not merely planning documents\nbut consistently implemented in the field.<\/p>\n<p>Bengkulu Provincial Secretariat Assistant II Raden Ahmad Denni stated\nthat the provincial government has followed up on national commitments\nthrough a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of National\nDevelopment Planning signed on 15 August 2023, and has established a\nLow-Carbon and Climate-Resilient Development Document through Provincial\nRegulation Number 36 of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must balance economic utilisation and environmental conservation\nso that benefits are felt by current and future generations,\u201d said\nDenni.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, multi-stakeholder collaboration is key to\naccelerating green economic transformation in Bengkulu so that\nlow-carbon and climate-resilient development can proceed\nsustainably.<\/p>",
