        "content": "<p>Belo to testify via TV link<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Nobel Peace prizewinner and retired East Timor bishop<br>\nCarlos Ximenes Belo is due to testify this month to Indonesia's<br>\nhuman rights court via a televised link, a court spokesman said<br>\non Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\"I have received information that Bishop Belo's testimony will<br>\nbe conducted through teleconference,\" Judge Andi Samsan Nganro<br>\ntold AFP.<\/p>\n<p>Belo, who last week resigned as bishop, will give evidence in<br>\nmid-December in the trials of former regional military chief Maj.<br>\nGen. Adam Damiri and ex-East Timor military chief Brig. Gen. Noer<br>\nMuis, Andi said.<\/p>\n<p>Both men are accused of responsibility for military-backed<br>\nmilitia violence before and after East Timor's vote to break away<br>\nfrom Indonesia in August 1999.
