        "content": "<p>Bekasi Metro Police Chief Commissioner Sumarni has denied accusations\nof involvement in alleged corruption related to the management of the\nFree Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme currently under investigation by\nthe Attorney General\u2019s Office. \u201cI assert that I have no involvement\nwhatsoever in the alleged irregularities of the MBG programme or\nactivities within the National Nutrition Agency,\u201d Sumarni stated in\nCikarang on Thursday (11\/6), as quoted by Antara. Her name had\npreviously surfaced in a viral social media post listing parties\nallegedly implicated in the case, which included politicians, officials,\nand law enforcement personnel. Sumarni acknowledged she had only\ncommunicated with former Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency,\nSony Sonjaya, regarding a request to establish a Nutrition Fulfilment\nService Unit (SPPG) at the Buntet Islamic Boarding School in Cirebon. \u201cI\nwas once asked by the individual concerned to help establish an SPPG at\na boarding school in the Cirebon area. That was all, nothing else,\u201d she\nsaid. She maintained that the communication was strictly limited to the\nproposal for setting up the SPPG kitchen unit and never touched on\nproject or financial matters. \u201cIt was just communication. Many parties\nand figures were promised an SPPG. But in the end, it was never\nrealised,\u201d she explained. Sumarni added that several parties who had\nbeen promised the programme had complained about the lack of clarity,\nprompting her to contact Sony Sonjaya for an explanation. \u201cI chatted and\ndiscussed with him, asking for permission, General, please help with the\nSPPG because many felt they were being given false hopes. That was it.\nThere were no payments involved. I was not paid, I did not pay, and I\ngained no benefit whatsoever,\u201d she said. Sumarni again dismissed the\nissue alleging her involvement in the MBG management corruption case.\n\u201cThat is not true. I was not involved in corruption at BGN. I only\npreviously asked for help so that the Buntet Islamic Boarding School\ncould establish an SPPG,\u201d she stated. The Attorney General\u2019s Office is\ncurrently investigating the statements of several parties regarding the\nalleged irregularities in the MBG programme.
