        "content": "<p>Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto Tjahyono attended the opening of the Bekasi\nCity Job Fair 2026, organised by the City Manpower Office (Disnaker) at\nMega Bekasi Hypermall on Tuesday (7\/7). The two-day event features 50\ncompanies offering a total of 3,500 job vacancies to the public. Public\nenthusiasm for the 2026 Job Fair was very high. Prior to the event,\napproximately 7,000 job seekers had registered through the online\nregistration system provided by the Bekasi City Manpower Office. The\nMayor commended this year\u2019s job fair, noting it was far better organised\ncompared to previous years. He stated that the implementation of a\ndigital system has made the job-seeking process more orderly and\nefficient. \u201cThis year\u2019s Job Fair is more organised. Job seekers no\nlonger need to bring hardcopy CVs; they simply register online. At the\nvenue, companies only need to provide a barcode to access all the\napplicants\u2019 requirements and documents,\u201d Tri Adhianto said in a\nstatement on Wednesday (8\/7). The 3,500 job vacancies come from 50\ncompanies operating in various sectors, including manufacturing,\nservices, and hospitality. The Mayor also noted that this year\u2019s Job\nFair pays special attention to persons with disabilities. Around 300 job\nopportunities have been provided by several companies for persons with\ndisabilities, implementing the mandate of regulations concerning\ninclusive employment opportunities. \u201cWe are grateful that this year,\naround 300 job opportunities are available for our friends with special\nneeds. Going forward, we will continue to facilitate this, including\nthrough training, so that more companies comply with the provision of\njob opportunities for persons with disabilities,\u201d he said. Tri added\nthat the Bekasi City Government, together with the Regional House of\nRepresentatives (DPRD), has also discussed the possibility of holding\nadditional similar fairs if budget support allows. This aims to provide\nbroader opportunities for new high school and vocational school\ngraduates, who typically begin actively seeking employment a few months\nafter graduation. \u201cIf possible, we want to add a Job Fair at the end of\nthe year, around November or December, so the timing aligns with the\nneeds of new graduates entering the workforce,\u201d he stated. Furthermore,\nthe city government is preparing an apprenticeship programme targeted to\ncommence next year. The programme will prioritise Bekasi City residents\nand involve companies operating within the city. \u201cThis apprenticeship\nprogramme is one of the efforts to ensure prospective workers gain\nexperience before being fully recruited by companies. After the\napprenticeship, the hope is that they can be directly hired or have\ntheir contracts extended according to the company\u2019s needs,\u201d Tri\nexplained. Meanwhile, Head of the Bekasi City Manpower Office Dzikron\nstated that employment conditions in Bekasi City continue to show a\npositive trend. Although some companies have implemented layoffs, the\nnumber of companies registering Fixed-Term Employment Agreements (PKWT)\nremains higher, keeping job opportunities open. The Bekasi City\nGovernment is optimistic that the open unemployment rate, currently\naround 7.33%, can be gradually reduced through various job placement\nprogrammes, job fairs, and the apprenticeship programme to be\ndeveloped.<\/p>",
