"content": "<p>Bekasi City Government has officially established new regulations for\nthe Student Admission System (SPMB) for the 2026\/2027 academic year\nthrough the Mayor of Bekasi\u2019s Decree Number\n400.3\/Kep.195-Disdik\/IV\/2026. This policy outlines the mechanism for\nadmitting students to kindergarten (TK), primary school (SD), and junior\nsecondary school (SMP) levels, with a strong emphasis on equitable\naccess to education. The Bekasi City Government states that the system\nis designed to guarantee fair and quality educational access for all\nresidents. One of its main instruments is the division of admission\npathways with specific quotas, including affirmative pathways for\nunderprivileged families. Under the latest regulations, the domicile\npathway receives the largest quota. On the other hand, the mutation\npathway has the smallest quota, at a maximum of 5%. This pathway is\nintended for prospective students whose parents are relocating due to\njob transfers. Meanwhile, the affirmative pathway remains open as a form\nof support for families with limited economic conditions. Prospective\nstudents from this group must provide proof of registration in social\nwelfare data. In its implementation, the registration system is\nconducted differently based on the educational level. For kindergarten,\nthe registration process is carried out offline. Parents or guardians\nare required to upload complete and clear requirement documents. General\ndocuments that must be prepared include birth certificates, family\ncards, Child Identity Cards (KIA), certificates of graduation or\ndiplomas, and absolute responsibility statements from parents. In\naddition, there are specific documents according to the chosen pathway.\nFor example, certificates of registration in DTSEN for the affirmative\npathway, disability certificates, parental job transfer letters for the\nmutation pathway, and achievement certificates for the achievement\npathway.<\/p>",
