        "content": "<p>JAKARTA \u2014 Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Chair of the National Economic\nCouncil (DEN), has assessed that Iran will not be easily conquered\ndespite ongoing attacks by the United States and Israel.<\/p>\n<p>Luhut made these remarks before President Prabowo Subianto during a\nCabinet session at the Palace in Jakarta on Friday, 13 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLooking at Operation Fury and Operation Luring Lion, the distinctive\nattacks by the United States and Israel against Iran, they are targeting\nthree things: disabling Iran\u2019s air defence, crippling Iran\u2019s capacity,\nand so forth,\u201d Luhut said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Iranian nation is indeed an Aryan nation, so it is not easily\nconquered,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>However, Luhut observed that Iran has deployed drones capable of\nstriking from virtually anywhere. Consequently, Luhut characterised the\nconflict unfolding in the Middle East as a technology war.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe number of missiles fired by Iran has declined sharply, with\nreports indicating that 50 per cent of missile launches have been\ndestroyed. But one must not forget that they have produced cheap drones\nthat can be fired from almost anywhere. Artificial intelligence\ntechnology is also developing. So this is, in my view, a war of\ntechnology and also the spirit to resist,\u201d Luhut said.<\/p>\n<p>This assessment is based on data Luhut has received indicating that\nmany Iranian drone factories have been destroyed by the United\nStates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on the intelligence we have received, the Americans are indeed\ntargeting the destruction of factories, arsenals, and launch sites.\nHowever, Iran is also quite clever. They have implemented mobile\nlaunching systems,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
