\nbuild a civilized united Indonesia, feel terribly sad over the
\nbehavior shown by our political elite in leading this country.
\nThey have glaringly demonstrated their greed and avarice for
\npower in their daily activities. Mass mobilization to shape an
\nopinion or a show of force are not the only way toward democracy.
\nAs national leaders, you are responsible for the country's
\neconomic and political stability.<\/p>\n
Stop any psychological warfare among you. Remember that man is
\nnot flawless. The reform drive now under way is not solely
\nattributable to you. It is a process involving all of us.<\/p>\n
The Indonesian people extend to you the responsibility to
\nbuild this country and therefore you must strive for the welfare
\nof the nation and not simply in the interest of individuals or
\nyour own groups.<\/p>\n
Keep on struggling. May you go down in history as national
\nheroes worth remembering for all times and not as pioneers in the
\ndestruction of the Indonesian nation.<\/p>\n
