Jakarta (ANTARA) - BCA Syariah believes that halal certification\nprovides added value to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs),\nparticularly ahead of the implementation of Mandatory Halal regulations\nin October 2026.<\/p>\n
\u201cHalal certification for MSMEs can serve as a guarantee of product\nquality, increase consumer confidence, and simultaneously act as a\ngateway to blessings in the businesses being run,\u201d said BCA Syariah\nDirector Ina Widjaja in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n
In addition to the implementation of halal certification, Ina stated\nthat financial management training for MSME players is also crucial in\nthe effort to advance businesses and the halal value chain ecosystem in\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n
\u201cHalal certification, financial management knowledge, and familiarity\nwith BCA Syarel products are the initial steps to seizing opportunities\ntowards success and blessings in the business journey,\u201d said Ina.<\/p>\n
On another note, BCA Syariah, together with the Istiqlal Halal Center\n(IHC), presented halal certificates to 49 MSME players in the\nJabodetabek area as support for business development and readiness for\nthe Mandatory Halal implementation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis activity is one of our efforts to support the sharia economic\necosystem and the halal industry in Indonesia,\u201d said Ina.<\/p>\n
Beyond the halal guarantee, BCA Syariah also provided financial\nmanagement training for MSMEs, designed to help entrepreneurs record\ndaily income and expenses more neatly, ensuring that business capital is\nnot mixed with household needs and that business profits can be clearly\nmeasured.<\/p>\n
During this activity, participants were also further introduced to\nBCA Syariah banking products, such as QRIS, savings, and investment\nneeds that can support the development of MSME businesses.<\/p>\n
Ina stated that the collaboration between BCA Syariah and the\nIstiqlal Halal Center is a tangible manifestation of accompanying the\nfinancial journey of the community from their first steps, including\nMSME entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n
In addition to halal certification with IHC, BCA Syariah, through its\nPeduli Sejahtera programme, also organises various support and\ndevelopment programmes for MSMEs. Some of these include WEpreneur and\nthe coaching of mustahik MSMEs in partnership with BAZNAS.<\/p>\n
In terms of performance as of July 2024, BCA Syariah also recorded a\ngrowth in Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) financing of 21.2 per cent,\nreaching Rp1.1 trillion.<\/p>\n
This increase was supported, among other things, by financing growth\nin the retail and wholesale trade segments, which contributed 21.7 per\ncent of total SME financing.<\/p>\n
