Shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) have hit a five-year low, dropping to the Rp4,850 level amid significant selling pressure. The decline is largely driven by heavy net selling from foreign investors, who have offloaded Rp31.34 trillion worth of the stock so far in 2026.

Shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) have once again come under
market scrutiny after continuing a weakening trend that has persisted
for several months. According to Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) trading
data released via RTI on Monday morning, 8 June 2026, BBCA shares even
touched the Rp4,850 level per share before trading in the range of
Rp5,075.

This condition further emphasises the pressure facing one of
Indonesia’s largest banking issuers. BBCA’s share price is currently in
its lowest area in the last five years, shadowed by foreign investor
sell-offs and negative sentiment from domestic macroeconomic
conditions.

As of 09:49 WIB, BBCA shares were recorded moving within the range of
Rp4,850 to Rp5,050, with the latest price at the Rp5,075 level. Trading
volume reached 278.1 million shares, with transaction value exceeding
Rp1.37 trillion.

BBCA has continued to slide over the past few weeks. On 20 May 2026,
BBCA shares were still at the Rp5,975 level. However, since then, the
price of Indonesia’s largest private bank has continued to correct,
eventually falling into the Rp5,000 range.

The following are the closing prices for BBCA in recent trading
sessions:

20 May 2026: Rp5,975

21 May 2026: Rp5,950

22 May 2026: Rp5,900

25 May 2026: Rp6,100

26 May 2026: Rp5,975

29 May 2026: Rp5,700

2 June 2026: Rp5,825

3 June 2026: Rp5,525

4 June 2026: Rp5,425

5 June 2026: Rp5,075

This decline, occurring within a relatively short period, has caused
BBCA to lose most of its gains from recent years, returning to price
levels seen approximately five years ago.

Massive selling by foreign investors has been a primary factor
weighing on BBCA’s movement throughout this year. Data shows that the
net sell value by foreign investors in BBCA shares has reached Rp31.34
trillion throughout 2026. In comparison, the net sell for BBRI shares
was recorded at Rp9.57 trillion.

Data from the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) also
indicates that foreign investor ownership in BBCA as of the end of May
2026 experienced a decrease of 10.07 per cent compared to the position
at the end of December 2025.
",
