The National Board of Zakat (Baznas) RI has deployed the Baznas\nDisaster Response Team (BTB), the Baznas Healthy House, and mobile\nkitchen services to assist in the evacuation process and ensure the\nhealth and basic needs of fire victims in Kemanyoran, Jakarta, are\nmet.<\/p>\n
Idy Muzayyad, the Head of Distribution, Utilisation, and Empowerment\nat Baznas RI, stated in Jakarta on Wednesday that aid has been\ndistributed since Tuesday morning following the incident. The primary\ngoal is to ensure that the health conditions and basic requirements of\nthe community are immediately addressed.<\/p>\n
\u201cA large fire has occurred, and we (Baznas) immediately sent teams to\nassist the affected community. We are also deeply saddened, as one of\nthe victims, Ms Risma, was a barista at ZCoffee, which is under the\nauspices of Baznas,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Idy noted that the BTB team is focusing on initial field handling,\nranging from assisting in the evacuation of residents and assessing the\ncondition of victims to ensuring that aid distribution is rapid and\nprecisely targeted.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Baznas Healthy House team is also present to provide healthcare\nand medical services for the affected residents. Simultaneously,\nready-to-eat meals have been prepared to help meet the food needs of the\ncommunity during this emergency period,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
Idy emphasised that healthcare services are a critical need for those\naffected by the fire, particularly for children, the elderly, and\nindividuals suffering from health issues caused by smoke inhalation,\nexhaustion, or other emergency-related conditions.<\/p>\n
He assured that Baznas will continue to coordinate with various\nrelevant parties to support the distribution of follow-up aid for the\nfire victims. \u201cBaznas must synergise with various elements of society.\nCollective support is greatly needed to accelerate the recovery of the\nresidents affected by this disaster,\u201d said Idy Muzayyad.<\/p>\n
