The National Board of Zakat (Baznas) RI has installed electrical\nlighting systems and distributed ready-to-eat meals to communities\naffected by the fire in the Kemayoran area, Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter conducting an initial emergency response, Baznas RI is\ncontinuing its efforts by installing electrical lighting and\ndistributing ready-to-eat meals for those impacted by the Kemayoran\nfire,\u201d stated Idy Muzayyad, Head of Distribution, Utilisation, and\nEmpowerment at Baznas RI, in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Idy noted that this step is part of Baznas RI\u2019s commitment to\ncontinuously support communities affected by disasters. He emphasised\nthat the basic needs of residents are the primary focus of Baznas RI\nduring the post-fire phase, particularly regarding the lighting and food\nrequirements still needed by survivors.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the disaster site, resources are very limited, including access\nto lighting at night. Therefore, Baznas RI is working to provide\nelectrical lighting installations so that the community can carry out\nactivities more safely and comfortably during the recovery period,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
He reaffirmed that the organisation will continue to monitor the\nsituation on the ground to ensure that the aid distributed meets the\nspecific needs of the affected community. Idy also ensured that all\nassistance provided is sourced from the zakat, infaq, and alms (ZIS)\nentrusted to Baznas by donors (muzaki) to help those in need.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe ensure that all the trusts from the muzaki distributed through\nBaznas are used for the welfare of the people, including helping the\nfire victims in Kemayoran, Jakarta,\u201d said Idy Muzayyad.<\/p>\n
