The National Zakat Agency (Baznas) has implemented the distribution\nof sacrificial animals through the \u2018Blessed Sacrificial Meat for Village\nEmpowerment\u2019 programme, funded by Alfamart customers\u2019 donations totaling\nRp4.57 billion during March and April 2026 for Eid al-Adha 1447 AH (2026\nCE).<\/p>\n
From the total donations, 989 sheep or goats and 1,750 tins of\nprocessed meat were distributed evenly to underprivileged communities\nacross six provinces in Java and Bali, four in Sumatra, and three in\nCentral and Eastern Indonesia, including NTB, South Sulawesi, and\nMaluku.<\/p>\n
This initiative ensures sacrificial meat does not concentrate in\nmajor cities but directly reaches needy rural communities.<\/p>\n
Baznas Chairman Sodik Mudjahid stated the humanitarian collaboration\nproves collective community donations can create significant social\nimpact by directly addressing the nutritional needs of poor\nvillagers.<\/p>\n
\u2018We greatly appreciate all Alfamart customers who entrusted Baznas to\ndistribute the sacrificial meat donations responsibly, transparently,\nand accurately,\u2019 Sodik said in a written statement on Monday (1\nJune).<\/p>\n
He added that the agency successfully distributed sacrificial meat\npackages in phases to 23,043 beneficiaries, including Islamic boarding\nschools, mosques, orphanages, and remote village communities.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Sodik explained the programme was implemented by\ninvolving local livestock farmers and collaborating with volunteers,\ncommunity leaders, and social organisations.<\/p>\n
\u2018The programme addresses the community\u2019s need for nutritious food\naccess, particularly for underprivileged families who cannot always\nenjoy sacrificial meat annually. For many beneficiaries, the aid brings\njoy as they can share the Eid al-Adha feast with their families,\u2019 he\nadded.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Alfamart Corporate Affairs Director Solihin noted that the\nblessed sacrificial meat distribution was entirely funded by Alfamart\ncustomers\u2019 donations made via cash registers during March and April\n2026.<\/p>\n
\u2018Thank you to all Alfamart customers who contributed their donations\nor alms, enabling the collected funds to benefit the blessed sacrificial\nprogramme distributed via Baznas,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
Solihin also praised Baznas for directly distributing sacrificial\nmeat packages to beneficiaries, even reaching remote villages, ensuring\nequitable distribution.<\/p>\n

A total of 43 cattle and 149 goats, valued at Rp2 billion, were\ndistributed.<\/p>\n
This humanitarian action was carried out simultaneously by all\nregional and branch offices across West Java throughout May 2026.<\/p>\n
