The National Zakat Agency (Baznas) has launched the \u2018Blessed\nSacrifice Empowers Villages\u2019 programme at the Kuningan Livestock Centre\nin West Java, aiming to strengthen community empowerment through\nproductive and sustainable sacrificial animal management.<\/p>\n
Regent of Kuningan, Dian Rachmat Yanuar, stated the initiative is not\nmerely a spiritual ritual but has tangible social and economic impacts\nfor the community. He emphasised that Eid al-Adha should embody Islamic\nvalues of unity, empathy, care, and mutual assistance.<\/p>\n
Dian highlighted that the programme serves as a tool for economic\ncapacity-building, contributing to improved welfare. \u201cThis is not just a\nritual; it\u2019s about empowering communities through economic development,\nwhich will inevitably enhance their well-being,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He expressed confidence that Baznas\u2019 professional management of\nsacrifices would bring wider benefits and boost Kuningan\u2019s prosperity.\n\u201cThis programme has social and economic impact; I am confident Baznas\u2019\nprofessional handling will make Kuningan more prosperous,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Dian praised Baznas for selecting Kuningan as a flagship programme\nlocation under its Livestock Centre initiative, hoping it would address\nissues like poverty and unemployment.
