        "content": "<p>The National Zakat Agency (Baznas) RI and the Indonesian House of\nRepresentatives (DPR RI) are strengthening synergy in zakat management\nthrough a plan to establish Zakat Collection Units (UPZ) within the DPR\nRI\u2019s Council Completeness Apparatus (AKD) environment. This step is\nexpected to facilitate employees in fulfilling their zakat, infak, and\nsedekah (ZIS) obligations while optimising the collection of public\nfunds for various welfare programmes. During the meeting, both parties\nalso discussed efforts to revitalise the Amal Pancasila Mosque within\nthe AKD DPR RI environment as part of strengthening the mosque\u2019s\nfunction as a centre for worship, preaching, and community empowerment.\nBaznas Chairman Sodik Mudjahid stated that besides supporting the\nrevitalisation of the Amal Pancasila Mosque, Baznas is also open to\ncollaboration through the formation of UPZ within the AKD DPR RI. He\nbelieves the UPZ will serve as a strategic means to facilitate employees\nin fulfilling their ZIS duties and strengthen ZIS fund collection. \u201cIf\nthe mosque is active, we will certainly support its prosperity and\neconomic growth through Baznas\u2019 strategic programmes, such as Baznas\nMicrofinance Mosque and ZCorner,\u201d Sodik said, as quoted from an official\nstatement on Saturday (20\/6). Currently, the Amal Pancasila Mosque is\ntemporarily closed due to significant damage, forcing operations to halt\nto ensure the comfort and safety of worshippers. Meanwhile, Deputy\nChairman of the DPR Legislation Body, Ahmad Doli Kurnia Tandjung,\nexplained that the temporary closure was to support the renovation\nprocess and institutional governance improvements. He noted that the new\nmanagement is currently carrying out a comprehensive restructuring, with\nthe initial phase focusing on physical asset repairs, including the\nbuilding and mosque facilities. \u201cIn fact, the enthusiasm of the\ncongregation is very high, with various community activities, to the\npoint that it is always full during Friday prayers,\u201d he said. Therefore,\nhe hopes Baznas can support the revitalisation of the Amal Pancasila\nMosque so that preaching activities and religious services for the\ncommunity can resume optimally. Ahmad Doli also welcomed the plan to\nestablish UPZ within the AKD DPR RI environment.
