Batan must honor consultations<\/p>\n

It is shameful indeed that an official of the National Atomic
\nAgency (Batan) said that the House of Representatives and the
\ncommunity did not have enough knowledge on nuclear energy
\ntechnology and so discussion on the matter was irrelevant. This
\nstatement demonstrates snobbery on the part of the official as an
\nintellectual. Batan and its officials should realize that they
\nobtained the knowledge at the cost of the people's sweat.<\/p>\n
Also they should be aware of their social responsibility and
\nwork for the sake of the whole people. Their knowledge of nuclear
\ntechnology will be of little use to mankind if arrogance and
\nvanity lurk in their hearts. On the other hand, such attitudes
\nwill only lead them to committing sinful deeds.<\/p>\n
Nuclear technology does not only belong to the small group of
\nBatan, as the whole nation is responsible for the welfare of
\nmankind and future generations through proper application of the
\nacquired technology.<\/p>\n
It is in this context that the Analysts Group Foundation calls
\non Batan to refer to the principle of deliberations to reach
\nunanimous agreement in its plan to build a nuclear-powered
\nelectricity plant, instead of relying only on the result of the
\nfeasibility study and being suspected of bowing to the interest
\nof a certain country that wants to sell its nuclear reactor
\ntechnology.<\/p>\n
