        "content": "<p>Batam \u2014 The Batam City Health Department in the Riau Islands (Kepri)\nhas mobilised medical personnel at six health posts across key transport\nhubs to provide healthcare services for homecomers during the Islamic\nholiday period of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Didi Kusmarjadi, head of the Batam City Health Department, stated\nthat the health posts were established to anticipate medical service\nrequirements for residents travelling home during the Eid holiday\nperiod.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn total, we have established six posts at key passenger movement\npoints,\u201d Didi said when contacted in Batam on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the posts are located at Hang Nadim Airport,\nPunggur Domestic Port, Punggur ASDP Roro Port, Sekupang Port, Batam\nCentre Port, and Batu Ampar Port.<\/p>\n<p>At Hang Nadim Airport, Sekupang Port, and Batu Ampar Port, Didi\nnoted, healthcare services operate on an on-call basis because these\nlocations already have healthcare facilities and medical teams from\nlocal operators.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe airport already has a clinic and medical team, so our staff are\non-call should additional personnel be needed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, posts at Punggur Domestic Port, Punggur ASDP Roro Port,\nand Batam Centre Port have direct medical presence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first aid teams consist of doctors and nurses equipped with\nemergency equipment and basic medications to prevent unforeseen\nsituations during the mass homeward migration,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond medical staff, the posts are equipped with supporting items\nincluding stretchers, oxygen, medications, disposable medical materials\n(BMHP), and other medical equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Didi noted that these healthcare services will be in operation\nthroughout the Eid holiday period, from 13 March to 25 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMedical personnel will work in rotation according to the nearest\nhealth centre,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Didi added that staff on duty at the posts have been instructed to\nensure the readiness of medical equipment and to report field conditions\nregularly.<\/p>",
