        "content": "<p>Pandeglang, Banten (ANTARA) - Basarnas has revealed the reason a\ndiving team has not yet been deployed in the search operation for a\ngroup of journalists and the crew of the fast vessel Arupadatu I, which\nwent missing in the Sunda Strait, Pandeglang Regency, Banten.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Banten SAR Office, Al Amrad, speaking at a press\nconference at the Joint SAR Main Post on Carita Beach, Pandeglang, on\nTuesday evening, explained that underwater diving operations can only be\ncarried out once the coordinates of the exact location of the object or\ntarget have been confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe diving is carried out once we can determine the location of the\ntarget or object,\u201d he said in response to a question from an ANTARA\nreporter.<\/p>\n<p>Amrad emphasised that, in addition to certainty about the target\u2019s\nlocation, the safety of personnel in the joint dive team is the primary\nconsideration before deploying them underwater.<\/p>\n<p>Field verification steps have been undertaken by the joint SAR team,\nwhich deployed a sea reader and a drone from the KN SAR Tetuka to within\na 500-metre radius of the Anak Krakatau coastline to confirm reports\nregarding the discovery of victims, although the results so far have\ncome to nothing.<\/p>\n<p>Amrad confirmed that all sea and air assets would be optimised to\nnarrow the search area until the exact location of the vessel and the\nvictims can be found.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are doing our utmost. Of course, our anxiety remains. But I place\nmy trust in our team on the ground. This joint SAR team, if you can\nverify whatever information is circulating, so that it does not become a\nrumour, then through the measures we carried out \u2014 entering within 500\nmetres of Anak Krakatau \u2014 our colleagues in the field have proven it,\u201d\nsaid Amrad, who also serves as the SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC).<\/p>",
