        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Basarnas has deployed five health workers to areas\naffected by the 7.7 magnitude earthquake in East Manggarai Regency, East\nNusa Tenggara (NTT).<\/p>\n<p>Basarnas Deputy for Operations and Preparedness, Edy Prakoso,\nconfirmed from Jakarta on Friday that the deployment was carried out to\nstrengthen basic health services and accelerate medical treatment for\ncommunities affected by the disaster.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe deployment of health workers is part of a joint effort to ensure\naffected communities receive basic services quickly,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Basarnas confirmed that the health workers were transported using a\nBasarnas Dauphin AS 365 N3+ helicopter (HR-3604), which departed this\nafternoon from Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo to the Ronting helipad in\nSatar Kampas Village.<\/p>\n<p>The five health workers, from the Makassar Port Health Quarantine\nCentre and the Makassar Health Crisis Centre, were then flown to the\nMinistry of Health\u2019s Health Post in Damer Village, Satar Padut Village,\nNorth Lamba Leda District, East Manggarai.<\/p>\n<p>The deployed health team consists of doctors, nurses, pharmaceutical\nstaff, and administrative and logistics support personnel to facilitate\nmedical needs at the emergency site.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to evacuation support and air medical mobilisation, Edy\nstated that Basarnas personnel from the Maumere SAR Office, together\nwith SAR volunteers, have been directed to intensify field monitoring\nand coordinate with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and\nlocal government to update casualty data and map residents\u2019 needs.<\/p>\n<p>Inter-agency synergy has also been strengthened to ensure the\nemergency response process and distribution of logistical aid, including\nassistance from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, can be\ndelivered precisely on target.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs of Friday afternoon, personnel from the Maumere SAR Office,\ntogether with all SAR potential elements, were reported to remain on\nfull alert in the field, prioritising the principles of speed, safety,\nand integrated coordination following the earthquake,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
