        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Head of the National Secretariat for\nSustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the Ministry of National\nDevelopment Planning\/Bappenas, Pungkas Bahjuri Ali, stated that simple\nSDGs best practices can bring about important change if they\nsuccessfully address real problems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the previous event (Indonesia SDGs Action Award\/SAA), we learned\nthat strong best practices do not always come from institutions with the\nlargest funding sources. Simple practices can also provide important\nchange if they answer real problems, involve the community and are\ncarried out consistently, and have demonstrable results,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>During the virtual Kick-Off Meeting for Indonesia\u2019s SDGs Action\nAwards (SAA) 2026 in Jakarta on Thursday, Pungkas explained that the\nIndonesia SAA is a national award organised by Bappenas to appreciate\ngovernment and non-government institutions that demonstrate commitment\nand real contributions to achieving the SDGs in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the National SDGs Secretariat, together with related units\nand organising partners, has prepared the main implementation framework,\nincluding guidelines, participant requirements, form-filling\ninstruments, a registration portal, verification mechanisms for the\nassessment stages, timelines, and service channels for participants for\nthe 2026 Indonesia SAA agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Since it was first held in 2022, he continued, the SAA has been\nparticipated in by hundreds of institutions from various sectors,\ncarrying different themes each year, which has produced many diverse\nbest practices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis journey confirms that Indonesia has many solutions for\ndevelopment, growing from ministries, agencies, local governments,\ncampuses, communities, and all non-government development actors,\nincluding the business and philanthropy sectors,\u201d said Pungkas, who also\nserves as Deputy for Human and Cultural Development at the Ministry of\nNational Development Planning\/Bappenas.<\/p>\n<p>Entering 2026, Pungkas said the challenge is how to ensure that these\nsolutions do not just stop as standalone examples, but become sources of\nlearning and inspiration for wider regions, sectors, and community\ngroups.<\/p>",
