        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of National Development Planning\/Head of\nthe National Development Planning Agency (PPN\/Bappenas) Rachmat Pambudy\nhas emphasised the urgency of transforming social assistance (bansos),\nintegrated with community empowerment, and supported by accurate and\nintegrated data.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe we must emphasise two main things, namely empowerment and\ndata quality. We cannot work alone in empowerment. At the same time, our\nexperience shows that the social data we have still has various\nfunctions that are not yet optimal. Without accurate data, various\ninterventions risk being off-target,\u201d he stated during a meeting with\nSocial Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf, Deputy Finance Minister\nSuahasil Nazara, and a delegation from the Central Statistics Agency\n(BPS), as per a statement quoted in Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of Bappenas also emphasised the need to sharpen social\nassistance policies so that they are not merely temporary, but capable\nof driving community independence.<\/p>\n<p>The momentum of the economic census can be utilised to strengthen the\nnational data base.<\/p>\n<p>Efforts to ensure that social assistance programmes run more\nefficiently and on target include reducing inclusion errors and\nimproving exclusion errors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe President has conveyed a new model of social development and\ncommunity empowerment.
