Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) and\nMinister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman, has confirmed that data on\nrice aid recipients is being continuously updated to ensure accurate\ndistribution while helping to curb national rice price volatility.<\/p>\n
Amran said the government continues to coordinate with the Ministry\nof Social Affairs to ensure that the data used for rice aid recipients\nreflects the conditions of those entitled to receive assistance.<\/p>\n
\u201cRegarding the recipient data used in the rice food aid programme, we\nare committed to continuing coordination with the Ministry of Social\nAffairs,\u201d Amran said when confirmed in Jakarta on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN), which serves as the\ndatabase for Food Aid Recipients (PBP), is an update released by\nStatistics Indonesia (BPS) as of 10 July 2026 and has undergone a\nscreening process by the Ministry of Social Affairs.<\/p>\n
The data was then received by Bapanas to be formalised and forwarded\nto Perum Bulog as the executor of rice aid distribution, while\ncoordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs continues to ensure\naccurate targeting of recipients.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe received the data from the Ministry of Social Affairs. We signed\nthe data and sent it to Bulog. So Bulog executes the rice aid\ndistribution, but we will coordinate with the Ministry of Social\nAffairs,\u201d Amran explained.<\/p>\n
The government is currently implementing a rice food aid intervention\nprogramme targeting 33.24 million food aid recipients with allocations\nfor July, August, and September. This is an effort to keep rice\ncommodity prices stable and maintained.<\/p>\n
The rice aid programme targets PBP belonging to decile groups 1 to 4.\nDeciles are groupings of families based on their relative welfare\nposition. Deciles 1 to 4 are groups with the lowest relative welfare\nlevels.<\/p>\n
Bapanas has ensured that the second phase of the rice aid programme\ncan run even better, from the technical distribution to PBP to\nadministrative evidence.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe government\u2019s commitment under the command of President Prabowo\nSubianto is to deliver rice aid until it reaches communities at the\nfurthest points,\u201d Amran said.<\/p>\n
Bapanas has also ensured that the implementation of the second phase\nof rice aid will not extend beyond the end of the year as previously\nhappened. Distribution points can also be carried out at the Red and\nWhite Village\/Sub-district Cooperative (KDKMP) locations, if\npossible.<\/p>\n
\u201cRegarding rice aid distribution points, if there are obstacles at\nvillage or sub-district offices, Bapanas recommends using KDKMP as an\nalternative,\u201d Amran explained.<\/p>\n
The government, through Bapanas, has officially assigned Perum Bulog\nto distribute Government Food Reserves (CPP) for food aid for the July,\nAugust, and September 2026 period, targeting 33,244,408 food aid\nrecipients (PBP).<\/p>\n
The second phase of the pro-people rice aid programme is one of\nPresident Prabowo Subianto\u2019s directives. A total of 997.2 thousand\ntonnes of rice will be distributed to 33,244,408 PBP, with each\nreceiving 10 kg over a three-month allocation.<\/p>\n
The realisation of the first phase of food aid distribution, which\nwas the February and March 2026 allocation, successfully reached 33.14\nmillion food aid recipients or 99.7 percent of the 33.24 million PBP\ntarget.
