        "content": "<p>The Banten Provincial Government has secured its 10th consecutive\nUnqualified Audit Opinion (WTP) from the Indonesian Audit Board (BPK).\nThe BPK also commended Banten for exceeding the national target in\nfollowing up on audit recommendations. The BPK noted this reflects the\nlocal government\u2019s commitment to transparency, efficiency,\neffectiveness, and targeted financial management, urging other regional\nleaders to follow suit. Governor Andra Soni stated that the WTP confirms\nthe provincial finances have been presented fairly in all material\nrespects in accordance with government accounting standards, adequate\ndisclosures, compliance with regulations, and effective internal\ncontrols. \u2018However, we fully recognise that WTP is not the end goal but\na tool to continuously improve good governance, transparency, and\naccountability,\u2019 Soni said during the parliamentary session on the BPK\u2019s\naudit report for the 2025 financial year at the Banten Provincial DPRD\nbuilding in Serang City on Monday (25 May 2026). Senior Commissioner\nBobby Adhityo Rizaldi, Director General of National Financial Audit\nWidhi Widayat, and BPK Banten Representative Firman Nurcahyadi attended\nthe session. Soni signed the audit report and received the financial\nstatement audit results from the BPK. According to Soni, the success is\nnot solely due to the provincial government\u2019s efforts but the result of\ncollaboration among all stakeholders, particularly the constructive\noversight, budgeting, and legislative functions of the Banten Provincial\nDPRD. \u2018The DPRD is a strategic partner for all regional agencies,\nfinancial managers, internal auditors, and all parties working to\nmaintain accountable and responsible financial management,\u2019 he added.\nNext, all BPK recommendations and remarks will be taken seriously by the\nprovincial government for prompt implementation in accordance with\nregulations. Soni stated that an action plan has been prepared to\ndemonstrate commitment to improvements. \u2018To ensure effective\nimplementation, we request BPK\u2019s guidance and input to complete all\naudit follow-ups within 60 days,\u2019 he said. Furthermore, regarding all\nrecommendations, corrections, and improvements in financial reporting,\nSoni pledged to adhere to all issued guidelines and regulations as\nstrategic references to enhance the quality of provincial financial\nstatements, making them more accountable and measurable. \u2018This not only\nfulfils transparency and accountability in financial management but also\nserves as a foundation for formulating and implementing government\nprograms, development initiatives, and public services more effectively\nand efficiently,\u2019 he said. To civil servants in the Banten Provincial\nGovernment, Soni urged strengthening integrity culture, improving\nplanning and budgeting, reinforcing internal controls, and ensuring\nevery budgeted rupiah benefits the public, especially as local\ngovernance challenges grow more complex. \u2018With collaboration, openness,\nand a service-oriented spirit, we are confident in maintaining and\nimproving this achievement as our accountability to the public for a\nprosperous, equitable, and corruption-free Banten,\u2019 he said. BPK Senior\nCommissioner Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi commended Banten\u2019s 10 consecutive\nWTPs, stating this achievement should motivate all state administrators\nto enhance accountability and transparency in local financial management\nand reporting quality. \u2018We also commend Banten for exceeding the\nnational 75% target in audit recommendation follow-ups. As of 31\nDecember 2025, 1,595 recommendations (81.34%) have been addressed,\u2019 he\nsaid. Based on findings, the BPK recommended that the governor instruct\nrelevant agency heads to ensure proper controls over procurement,\nconstruction, infrastructure, and JIJ works. It also called for adequate\noversight of inventory management and State Property (BMD) handling. If\naudit findings are unclear, the DPRD has the right to propose\nconsultations with BPK Banten per regulations, facilitating better\ncoordination for thorough understanding and resolution of issues.\n\u2018Coordination between BPK, local government, and DPRD is vital to ensure\nnational finances are managed efficiently, effectively, and\naccountably,\u2019 he added.<\/p>",
