        "content": "<p>Bank Indonesia (BI) opened registration for Period 2 currency\nexchange bookings on 24 February. However, by Friday morning, 27\nFebruary 2026, the quota had already been completely exhausted.<\/p>\n<p>Based on monitoring by Kompas.com of the Pintar BI application at\npintar.bi.go.id at 10:30 WIB, the new currency exchange quota for Java\nIsland has been filled. The Pintar BI application waiting room page\ndisplayed the message: \u201cThe quota for Period 2 currency exchanges in the\nJava Island region has currently been fulfilled (fully booked).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kompas.com confirmed this with BI\u2019s Head of Communications\nDepartment, Ramdan Denny Prakoso, including inquiring about the\npossibility of additional quotas. However, no response has yet been\nreceived.<\/p>\n<p>For context, BI currency exchange bookings have been conducted in two\nperiods: 13 February and 24 February until the quota was exhausted.\nMembers of the public who have successfully completed bookings through\nthe Pintar BI application can proceed with currency exchanges at the\nselected locations and dates.<\/p>\n<p>The currency exchange schedule will run from 28 February to 15 March\n2026. Individuals must book through the Pintar BI application, as BI\ndoes not permit go-show or walk-in currency exchanges without prior\nreservation.<\/p>",
