Yogyakarta (ANTARA) \u2014 PT Bank Syariah Nasional (Bank BSN) has\npartnered with PT Mentari Bayt Coin (MBC) to develop a gold-based\nfinancial ecosystem in accordance with Sharia principles, including the\nprovision of gold products and buyback mechanisms.<\/p>\n
The collaboration was formalised through the signing of a Cooperation\nAgreement (PKS) during the Grand Launching of MBC Gold in Yogyakarta on\nSaturday (19\/09\/2026).<\/p>\n
Bank BSN President Director Alex Sofjan Noor stated that this\ncollaboration is part of the company\u2019s strategy to expand gold-based\nservices while strengthening the Sharia financial ecosystem.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe collaboration with Mentari Bayt Coin opens opportunities to\npresent alternative gold-based products and services that complement the\ncommunity\u2019s needs in managing their finances according to Sharia\nprinciples,\u201d said Alex.<\/p>\n
Under this agreement, MBC will provide Mentari Bayt Coin gold bars to\nBank BSN with a purity level of 99.99 per cent, certified by the\nIndonesian National Standard (SNI). The gold will be available in\ndenominations ranging from 1 gram to 100 grams, as well as custom\nweights according to Bank BSN\u2019s requirements.<\/p>\n
Transactions between the two companies will also be supported by\nMBC\u2019s integrated digital portal. Through this platform, Bank BSN can\nmonitor gold prices in real-time, issue purchase orders (PO), process\npayments, track shipments, and validate product authenticity via QR code\nscanning.<\/p>\n
Alex noted that gold still holds great potential for development\nwithin the Sharia financial industry, as it has long been used by the\npublic as an instrument to preserve asset value.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe collaboration between the Sharia banking industry and gold\nbusiness players has vast development potential, especially when\nsupported by increasingly integrated ecosystems and services,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, MBC President Director Jebul Suroso stated that MBC\u2019s gold\nbusiness development rests on three main pillars: direct sales, gold\ninstalments, and gold savings. This model is also intended to be\nsynergised with various Muhammadiyah Business Entities (AUM).<\/p>\n
\u201cMBC\u2019s gold business can be synergised with our AUMs, whether in the\nfields of education, health, or others. It can be applied to various\naspects, including savings, retirement funds, or other needs,\u201d said\nJebut.<\/p>\n
