As a lawyer, I am astonished to hear an advertisement aired by
\nsome private radio stations. The ad, about Bank Bali's Serba Guna
\ncredit card, is insulting to the profession of public prosecutors
\nas agents of law enforcement.<\/p>\n
In the ad, a public prosecutor in a court trial asks a
\ndefendant why he does not use Bank Bali's credit card but
\ninstead, the credit card of another bank. The prosecutor
\nfuriously urges the defendant to take note of it.<\/p>\n
In the concluding part of the ad another man mentions the
\nadditional merit of the credit card of Bank Bali. How come?
\nWhy should the profession of the prosecutors be disgraced in such
\na manner only to promote a product of a certain bank? It is true
\nthat advertisements are vital for the promotion of business but
\nthey should be done in an ethically and morally acceptable
\nfashion.<\/p>\n
I hope that the airing of that ad is terminated. The
\nauthorities should do something about it.<\/p>\n
