        "content": "<p>REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BUMIAYU \u2013 The Bangunkarta train (161) on the\nJombang-Pasarsenen route derailed in Bumiayu, Brebes Regency, Central\nJava, on Monday (6\/4\/2026) at 14:15 WIB at Km 312+1. The derailment\ncaused disruptions to travel on both upstream and downstream lines,\nmeaning the route cannot yet be traversed.<\/p>\n<p>PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has implemented operational\nengineering for train services. \u201cKAI extends its apologies to all\ncustomers for the travel disruptions caused by this incident,\u201d said the\nPublic Relations of PT KAI (Persero) Daerah Operasi 5 Purwokerto, Vice\nPresident Corporate Communication KAI Anne Purba, on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>She confirmed that all customers and train crew are safe with no\nfatalities. Currently, the evacuation process for the derailed train\nconsist is being accelerated with support from TNI, Polri personnel, and\nlocal community elements to restore the line as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, safety and fulfilment of customer service rights\nare the company\u2019s top priorities in handling the incident. As a quick\nstep to minimise disruption impacts, KAI has prepared onward transport\n(overstappen) in the form of 10 bus units to deliver customers to their\ndestination stations or connect interrupted journeys.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, KAI is also providing service recovery in the form of\nfood and drinks to customers in accordance with applicable provisions.\n\u201cField officers continue to provide assistance and the latest\ninformation so that customers remain comfortable during the handling\nprocess,\u201d said Anne.<\/p>\n<p>To maintain overall operational smoothness, KAI has implemented\nseveral operational engineering measures for train services in the\naffected area. Several journeys have been fully cancelled, including KA\nSawunggalih (113 and 116), KA Taksaka (45 and 48), KA Purwojaya (54-55\nand 60F-57F), and KA Joglosemarkerto (185-186).<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a partial cancellation scheme for routes and mutual\nconsist exchange (wet overstappen) is applied on the Prupuk-Purwokerto\nline for KA Kamandaka, KA Sawunggalih, and KA Purwojaya, as well as\npartial cancellation for KA Ranggajati. KAI has also diverted routes for\nseveral long-distance trains, such as KA Argo Semeru, KA Gayabaru Malam\nSelatan, KA Progo, and KA Senja Utama Yogyakarta, via the\nKroya-Bandung-Cikampek line.<\/p>\n<p>The KA Bima, KA Manahan, and KA Jakatingkir have been diverted via\nthe northern line through Semarang. \u201cOfficers from the rail, bridge, and\nfacilities units continue to work at the incident site to ensure the\nline returns to operational standards in accordance with safety\nrequirements,\u201d said Anne.<\/p>",
